Welcome to Oh La Lana! Knitting Stitch Library! Here you will find a curated collection of knit-and-purl stitches, cables, and lace patterns with clear charts and row-by-row written instructions. I am working on a growing this library every single day, creating a comprehensive home for easy-to-read knitting motifs.
This library is specially designed to be a functional resource for your creative process. Every entry features a high-definition digital chart for maximum clarity and is categorized by stitch repeat. Whether you are designing a scarf from scratch or looking for a texture that fits your current cast-on, you can easily sort out our patterns by stitch multiples using the sidebar filter.
Browsing on mobile? You’ll find our ‘Filter by Repeat’ tool at the bottom of the page!
Explore the collection below, and check back often—our library is expanding one stitch at a time!
How to Use the Oh La Lana! Stitch Library
- Filter by Multiples: Each stitch pattern is tagged with its required “stitch count” (e.g., 8 stitches or 12 stitches). This allows you to quickly find a pattern that fits your existing cast-on.
- Digital-First Charts: Our charts are high-resolution and optimized for both printing and mobile viewing.
- Skill Level: Whether you are a beginner or looking for a complex relief, check the “Quick Info” table on each post for the difficulty rating.
- Click the Swatch! Each circular swatch is linked to the corresponding pattern. When you click it, you will visit the page for that specific knitting stitch. There you will find its row-by-row written instructions, the high-resolution chart, and some project ideas.
If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to make this library more helpful for you, please leave a comment. Let’s build it together!
