– CO 65 sts with US 6 (4 mm) needles.
I always cast on and bind off stitches with larger needles than I use for the main work. This prevent my cast on and bind off rows from being too tight. |
– With US 4 (3,5 mm) needles, knit 6 rows.
Slip first stitch on every row as if you were to knit it, but without knitting it (except on the first row). It will form a neat and sturdy border. |
– Continue working as follows:
5 garter sts, LACE PATTERN N°1 over 55 sts, 5 garter sts.
Work 11 times the LACE PATTERN N°1 complete and then rows 1) to 5) again.
– Knit 6 rows.
– Bind off with US 6 (4 mm) needle. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
– Block your square to its final measures.

Row 8) k1, [k1, p15, k2]
1) CO 200 sts with US 6 (4 mm) needles.
2) With US 4 (3,5 mm) circular needles, knit 8 rows, decreasing 5 sts evenly in the last row (you end up with 195 sts).
3) Continue working as follows:
6 garter sts, LACE PATTERNS over 183 sts, 6 garter sts.
After knitting a Lace Pattern for 4’’ (10 cm), ending with a WS row, work 4 rows
in garter stitch, increasing 5 sts evenly in the first row (you end up with 200 sts)
and decreasing 5 sts evenly in the last row (you end up with 195 sts again).
I calculated the final length for the seamless blanket assuming that each lace pattern is to be knitted for approx. 4’’ (10 cm), with 4 rows of garter stitch in between lace patterns.

Looks like a beautiful start to the blanket. I am on the fence about whether or not I should do the seamless version or the individual blocks. Either way, it is going to be pretty. I dropped you some coin via paypal. Thank you for your generosity. Now I am trying to figure out a way to feign illness so I can leave work early and cast on!
🤣🤣 How about knitting deprivation symptoms? Do you think they will believe it?
Thank you a lot, I already sent you the file to your email! 😘
I like the way you think!
There was a mistake in row 7) of both row-by-row instructions, but I just fixed it. Thank you Barbara for letting me know!!!
Hello! How much yarn does it take for one block, approximately?
