Hello!
If you follow me on IG or FB you already know that I’ll be adding another square to this collection next week.
The original idea of this project, in its “individual squares version”, was to provide you with 15 lace patterns that you could join 3×5 to make a blanket. However, I received a request to design one more from a lady that wants to make a sofa throw by joining them 4×4.
So… why not?
🧶Happy knitting!
Ceci

– CO 65 sts with US 6 (4 mm) needles.
I always cast on and bind off stitches with larger needles than I use for the main work. This prevent my cast on and bind off rows from being too tight. |
– With US 4 (3,5 mm) needles, knit 6 rows.
Slip first stitch on every row as if you were to knit it, but without knitting it (except on the first row). It will form a neat and sturdy border. |
– Continue working as follows:
5 garter sts, LACE PATTERN N°15 over 55 sts, 5 garter sts.
Work 4 times the LACE PATTERN N 15 complete and then rows 1) to 13) again.
– Knit 6 rows.
– Bind off with US 6 (4 mm) needle. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
– Block your square to its final measures.

AFTER knitting lace pattern N°14 and the garter st rows (or one of the lace patterns separators I shared for the seamless version of this KAL), you’ll have 195 sts again in your needle.
Continue working as follows:
6 garter sts, LACE PATTERN N°15 over 183 sts, 6 garter sts
After knitting the Lace Pattern for 4’’ (10 cm), ending with a WS row, work 4 rows
in garter stitch, increasing 5 sts evenly in the first row (you end up with 200 sts)
and decreasing 5 sts evenly in the last row (you end up with 195 sts again).
I calculated the final length for the seamless blanket assuming that each lace pattern is to be knitted for approx. 4’’ (10 cm), with 4 rows of garter stitch in between lace patterns.
