- CO: cast on
- BO: bind off
- RS: right side
- WS: wrong side
- st: stitch
- k: knit
- p: purl
- yo: yarn over
- k2tog: knit 2 sts together
- skp: slip 1 st as if to knit, knit 1 st, pass the slipped st over
- 2B, k2, k2B: slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back, k next 2 sts, k2 sts from cable needle.
- 2F, k2, k2F: slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k next 2 sts, k2 sts from cable needle.
- 2B, k2, p2B: slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back, k next 2 sts, p2 from cable needle.
- 2F, p2, k2F: slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, p next 2 sts, k2 from cable needle.
- LOOP / loop, k, yo, k: with the right hand needle, pick the 3rd st on left hand needle, pass it over sts 1 and 2, and drop it; k, yo, k.
The LOOP worked here is the same I showed you in my MKAL 2021. In case you need it, you can see some photos to guide you HERE.
INSTRUCTIONS
– CO 70 sts with US 6 (4 mm) needles.
– With US 4 (3.5 mm) needles, knit 6 rows. In the last row, increase 3 sts distribuited (73 sts).
– Continue working as follows:
5 garter sts, BLOCK N°4A pattern over 63 sts, 5 garter sts (30 rows)
5 garter sts, BLOCK N°4B pattern over 63 sts, 5 garter sts (30 rows)
5 garter sts, rows 1) to 29) of BLOCK N°4A pattern over 63 sts, 5 garter sts
(29 rows)
– Knit 6 rows, decreasing 3 sts in the first row to return to a total stitch count of 70.
– Bind off with US 6 (4 mm) needle. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
– Block your square to its final measures. You can read my post on blocking if you need more info.
