BLOCK 52: EQUALITY

EQUALITY dishcloth knitting pattern 52 SQUARE PICKUP dishcloth 52 SP size in bright blue color

ABBREVIATIONS

  • CO: cast on
  • RS: right side
  • WS: wrong side
  • st: stitch
  • k: knit
  • p:ย purl

INSTRUCTIONS

โ€“ CO 43 sts with US 7 (4.5 mm) needles.

I always cast on and bind off stitches with larger needles than I use for the main work. This prevent my cast on and bind off rows from being too tight.

โ€“ With US 6 (4 mm) needles, knit 4 rows.

Slip first stitch on every row as if you were to knit it, but without knitting it (except on the first row). It will form a neat and sturdy border.

โ€“ Continue working as follows:

4 garter sts, EQUALITY pattern over 35 sts, 4 garter stsโ€‹ until you have a total length of 8โ€™โ€™ (20.5 cm).

I knitted 4 times the EQUALITY pattern complete + rows 1) to 7) again.

โ€“ Knit 4 rows.

โ€“ Bind off with US 7 (4.5 mm) needle. Cut yarn and weave in ends.

  1. Thank you so very much for this KAL. I am still very behind but have saved all the patterns to continue working on them as I have time. I really appreciate the time you spent in presenting this and especially the charts, I am a visual person and a chart really helps me. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing what you present going forward.

Hi there! The downloadable pattern had 2 mistakes at the end of rows 8 and 12. I fixed it and the file is now correct.
