STACKED BOXES II knitting pattern 52SP size

STACKED BOXES II knitting pattern with 52SP size

If you follow me on Instagram (@ohlalana.designs) or Facebook, you already know that I’m missing a bit my 2019 Beginner KAL “52 Square Pickup”. Designing stitch patterns is so much fun for me! And I feel very grateful for being able to work of what I love ❤

So… I’m designing some new patterns that you can use on their own as dishcloths, or add them to your 52SP collection. And keep those blankets growing!

I don’t know with what frequency I’ll be posting these new blocks, but I’ll let you know in the usual ways (IG, FB, Ravelry, email notifications, Patreon) each time I publish one out.
I hope you also enjoy them!
Love,
Ceci

PS: I called this block “Stacked boxes II” because, as I’m sure you’ll remember, I already named “Stacked boxes” to one of my 52 SP patterns (HERE).

If you prefer it, you can also purchase the adapted pattern in a high quality PDF file HERE.

ABBREVIATIONS

  • CO: cast on
  • RS: right side
  • WS: wrong side
  • st: stitch
  • k: knit
  • p: purl

INSTRUCTIONS

– CO 43 sts with US 7 (4.5 mm) needles.

I always cast on and bind off stitches with larger needles than I use for the main work. This prevent my cast on and bind off rows from being too tight.

– With US 6 (4 mm) needles, knit 4 rows.

Slip first stitch on every row as if you were to knit it, but without knitting it (except on the first row). It will form a neat and sturdy border.

– Continue working as follows:

4 garter sts, STACKED BOXES II Stitch pattern over 35 sts, 4 garter sts until you have a total length of 8’’ (20.5 cm).

Knit 4 times the STACKED BOXES II Stitch pattern complete + rows 1) to 7) again.

– Knit 4 rows.

– Bind off with US 7 (4.5 mm) needle. Cut yarn and weave in ends.

And thanks to you! My work would be pointless if you and many others weren’t on the other side of the screen 🤗❤
